One of the best books I have ever read on church leadership and strategy development, is Simple Church by Thom Rainer and Eric Geiger. Lest you think I'm just pushing the book because I work for Dr. Rainer, I can assure you that the book was well worn, and often recommended long before I had an inkling I would work for LifeWay.
