Burkina Photos :: Photo 1

As I am currently preaching through a series called "The Bible & The Bush" in which I am highlighting various lessons that God taught me while in Africa, I am doing a lot of research. For illustrative purposes I am also going back through our Africa material, including our pictures. I've run across a number of them that I want to post over the next few weeks. The first is the picture below. I happens to be my favorite picture of Tracy and I from our time in Burkina. Our theme verse, while serving among the Dagara, was Isaiah 9:2

The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine.

This picture was taking at the village of Koreagane after Tracy and I had taught a bible study. (It also shows, for those who have never seen us in person, that I am a bit taller than average, and Tracy is a bit shorter than average. :-) ) We were walking to the house in the picture to pray for a lady who was paralyzed due to an unknown illness. You can click on the image to enlarge it.
